Abstract
The questions of ethics have not been fully answered by society nor professions. The challenges facing society and the conflicts of the profession, year-in-year-out, are yet to be imagined. Engineers and scientists have a responsibility to society because of their expertise; the ability to design and produce. This could be harmful or beneficial to society. A guiding rule or standing policy is not only the lasting solution to the ethical violation but also imbibing morals and/or values. This would become the guiding principle of the individual. Also, some laid down principles guiding the professions should be inculcated into the curriculum which will facilitate quick adaptation by individuals. Consequently, society would be free of unethical and illegal practices when ethics is properly put in place.minerals into the groundwater.
